Learn in a Volkswagen Polo with manual transmission. A manual license lets you drive both manual and automatic — the most flexible option. Note: the practical exam is generally Dutch-only for manual.

Why pick manual?
Choose manual if you want maximum driving freedom — your license lets you drive manuals AND automatics anywhere in the EU. Cars with manual transmission are also typically cheaper to buy second-hand.
The trade-off: it takes a few more lessons to learn (35–40 vs ~25–30 for automatic). And the CBR practical exam for manual is generally Dutch-only — though we have instructors who can support you in English throughout the lessons.
